- I am not sure if counselling is what I need.
It is important that you feel comfortable when working with a counsellor, the initial appointment will gives us both an opportunity to get a sense of each other and for us to look at what it is you would like to explore within the counselling. This session may help you to decide whether counselling feels right for you and if you decide you would like to continue working with me we will agree to meet on a regular basis, ideally weekly.
- How long is a session
Sessions usually last for one hour although extended sessions may be booked.
I also offer intense weekend counselling, which is a minimum four hours on both Saturday & Sunday, usually two in the morning and two in the afternoon although again extended sessions may be booked.
- How much does it cost
I charge £60 per hour for Individual Counselling, £70 per hour for Couples Counselling, £80 per hour Family Therapy & £90 per hour for intense weekend therapy (min 4hrs a day)
My prices are not set in stone & I do offer a limited number of concessionary slots. There maybe a waiting list for these, but please don't hesitate to contact me if you would like to enquire about reduced fees.
Payment must be made at the time of session by either cash or cheque
- Will what I say be confidential
I abide to the B.A.C.P. Code of Ethics and Practice I am therefore bound by its ethical framework. I'm committed to providing counselling in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment. I regularly have supervision where I may discuss aspects of our work where I need clarification of the way I work with you, however I never disclose client details or any information which could identify my clients in any way. The only time I would break confidentially would be around issues of safe guarding. Please read my Privacy Notice & Data Protection
- What time can I get an appointment
I am able to offer flexible appointment times, including evenings. I work in Exeter on a Thursday & in Honiton all other days.
- What if I need to cancel my appointment
If you are unable to make an appointment please let me know as soon as possible, if less then twenty four hours notice is given the full session fee will be charged.
