 Frequently Asked QuestionsI am not sure if counselling is what I need.
It is important that you feel comfortable when working with a counsellor, so I offer a free 30 minute initial appointment which gives us both an opportunity to get a sense of each other and for us to look at what it is you would like to explore within the counselling. This initial meeting may help you to decide whether counselling feels right for you and if you decide you would like to continue working with me we will agree to meet on a regular basis, ideally weekly. How long is a session?
Sessions usually last for one hour although extended sessions may be booked.
How much does it cost?
Individual Counselling costs £30 / Couples Counselling £45 per hour, although these prices are not set in stone and can be altered accordingly for those on low incomes.
Payment to be made by either cash or cheque with banker’s card.
Will what I say be confidential?
I abide to the B.A.C.P. Code of Ethics and Practice I am therefore bound by its ethical framework. I'm committed to providing counselling in a safe, confidential and non-judgmental environment and regularly have supervision where I may discuss aspects of our work where I need clarification of the way I work with you, however I never disclose client details or any information which could identify my clients in any way.
What time can I get an appointment?
I am able to offer flexible appointment times, including evenings and weekends.
What if I need to cancel my appointment?
If you are unable to make an appointment please let me know as soon as possible, if less then twenty four hours notice is given a cancellation fee of £15 will be charged.
